As Canada’s leading distributor of printing paper and packaging solutions, Ariva® is taking a local leadership position within our industry to ensure the sustainability of our environment, and to help you do the same – not because the government says so, but because it’s the right thing to do.
When you participate in Ariva’s Reduced to Zero; Carbon Neutral Program, we apply credits to fully offset the already low greenhouse gas emissions of Sappi's North American grades and Domtar brands manufactured at the their Windsor Mill, resulting in a 100% carbon-neutral paper at a very affordable cost. Ariva does this through our partnership with Carbonzero and their two current projects: Niagara Escarpment Forest Carbon Project (NEFCP) and Landfill Gas to Energy Project (LGEP).
If you wish to promote the use of 100% Carbon Neutral paper, Ariva will supply a manufacturing report and a Carbonzero certificate.
We have since added Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) Certification and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™).

While much emphasis in the marketplace has been placed on using recycled materials, fibre can only be recycled between 5 and 7 times, making input of virgin fibre into the paper stream essential. That's why we provide products that include both virgin fibre from responsibly managed sources, as well as recycled content. Virgin fibre harvested using recognized third-party-certified sustainable forestry practices is as environmentally sound as the use of recycled fibre.
